I’ve updated my flickr with some of my recent work @ SAIC (School of the Art Institute of Chicago NOT ASSOCIATED WITH ART INSTITUTE SCHOOLS) this past semester. Most of it is research based, or process based- meaning that they are not wholly visual works from a visual artist, but more of a tool in explaining a theory or discovering an idea. Much of the work I’ve been working on in the past semester dealt with the exploration of textile, color, and symbolism. While it may sound super conceited/ like pompous conceptual bullshit, it is what I love to do. I produce minimalistic work that is not meant for aesthetic appeal, but more as a way of mapping out ideas.
All of my works just updated on my flickr have their individual explanations/ concepts underneath them. So take a gander, and enjoi.
