I just recently divided my artwork website from my illustration/design website (this one is still under construction) in order to maintain a more coherent division between my work and my business. The new website is still under Codytumblin.com, but I’ve gone through a modified/ updated all my work currently. I do have about 4-6 more… [Read more…]

I came across Fredrik Akum on Tumblr a few days ago, and was instantly drawn into his images. Most of these eerie, collage-like paintings are a re-contextualization of the every day, bits and pieces of the passing layered onto one another in a painterly haste. The images Fredrik Akum makes reference a sort of toxic… [Read more…]

For those of you that know me well, I’m constantly reading and researching other artists’ and designers’ work via books, magazines, zines, web, paper, shows, etc. With all this information being combed through, I always have hefty, hefty image library that I update daily. I use Iron & Bone as a more formal documentation of… [Read more…]

I’ve been meaning to post Eric Lebofsky for a while, his work is another one of my many favorites– and he lives/ works in Chicago. But here’s a sample of the new ceramic work/ new illustration– but– just go check… [Read more…]

I have to do a post on Marc Bell, simply because I think he’s a genius, and a huge impact on my work. His work is best described by just about any word that comes to mind. By working mostly on paper, Bell creates elaborate narrative-based fields of thought that sort of smack you in… [Read more…]

I forgot that Glenn Brown (one of my favorite/ top of the chart/ huge influence-ing painters) just opened a solo exhibition at Galerie Max Hetzler in Berlin this month. What I would give to fly out there and see it. But anyways, let’s get down to the good stuff. All of the work in the… [Read more…]

One of my good friends, Kyle Merriman (actually a bunch of my good friends are in this band/ associated with them), asked me to do the album artwork for Veritas‘ new EP coming out this spring, titled All Dog Alert. This project was really awesome to work on because they pretty much gave me free… [Read more…]
